The Strength of the rally community and the prevalence of true friendly competition
THIS ONE IS FOR THE PEOPLE
People often talk about community and its importance, but no group of people is quite like the rally community. Starting this season, I knew rally was made up of a close-knit group of individuals who share the same passion for blasting through the trees and pushing a car to its limits over miles of challenging terrain. Still, nothing could have prepared me for the love, care, support, and camaraderie those in the series offered. From the moment I began chasing this dream, I have felt an overwhelming sense of belonging attributed not only to my fulfillment derived from participating in this sport but also from those whom I participate alongside and compete against. Much is written about the rally community worldwide, but of this I am certain; those who are blessed enough to share and understand this passion are some of the most incredible people I have ever interacted with. Rally in the United States is the true embodiment of friendly competition. The welcoming and approachable atmosphere created by those who attend events is extraordinary, and I am incredibly thankful and honored to have experienced it this year. The familial bond among competitors and teams is not to be taken lightly, and I am so grateful to call this community family.
Thank you to everyone from this family who supported me this year. I have made many incredible relationships in my 3 events competing in the ARA, and I am incredibly excited to continue supporting others as my fellow competitors support me. If I had the pleasure of meeting you this year, thank you, and if I have not yet had that pleasure, I hope to meet you at a future event. Rally on and go like hell.
